ACCELERATED READER

Students in grades 1-8 participate in a school-wide reading program. Students choose books from the list to the left, read the book, and then take a 5, 10, or 20 question multiple choice survey to evaluate their experience. Each test passed earnd the student points. Each class has a certain point goal in each quarter and those students who meet that goal may earn differnt incentives. This program gets us all to do more reading and gives the teacher more information on each student's reading skills. Feel free to use the list to select books for your child to read. Parents may also participate in the AR program. Doing so gives us adults a wonderful opportunity to talk with our children about literature and recommend books to each other.
